When I Grown up 201617

“When I Grow Up”  2016-17

When i grow up is a stage musical based on the children’s novel ‘MATILDA’ by Roald Dahl and entered around a little girl with a big heart and a very curious mind. Matilda didn’t exactly win the lotto in the parents department but finds a kindred spirit in her new school teacher Miss Honey and together with her class mates they rebel against the cruel head mistress, Miss Trunchbull.

The students have been a wonderful cast to work with under the tutelage of director and choreographer Miriam Ball, and musical director Mark Lyndon. ‘This is one of my favourite stage musicals in recent years and i cannot wait for everyone to see how these wonderful student bring it to life’ she told us.

Taking on the heroic role of Matilda is second year Kayleigh Glasheen who audiences will remember as Jane Banks in last years ‘Poppins’. She is supported by a fantastic cast including Grainne Hayes (Miss Trunchbull), Zoe Morrissey (Miss Honey), Ceileigh Hennessy (Mrs Wormwood) Conor Cullen (Mrs Wormwood) Clodagh Cummins (Mrs Phelps) David Hannigan (Bruce) Holly Tobin (Lavender) and many more fine actors and actresses from across the school years.
